  1. QED V2.0 Demo

  4. What is QED V2.0 and who is this new guy?
  5.  
  6.   For the longest time I have wanted to use the standard ASL file  
  7.   requesters within QED.  Unfortunately the creator of QED, Darren
  8.   Greenwald, no longer had the time to devote to QED and so it looked like 
  9.   I would be out of luck.  Well, I pestered Darren mercilessly until he
  10.   gave in and let me take over distribution and future development of QED.
  11.   
  12.   After a few weeks of effort I managed to get Darren's original Manx
  13.   based code to compile and link under the SAS/C environment I am familiar
  14.   with.  I then chopped out all the code related to the native QED requester
  15.   and the ARP requester, put in code to use the ASL file requester, changed
  16.   some of the colors of the various QED requesters around and fixed a couple
  17.   of old QED bugs.  The result is QED V2.0.

  19.   Another update will be available soon with several feature additions
  20.   and AmigaGuide documentation.

  22.   I am continuing development on QED, first concentrating on getting the
  23.   look of the interface uptodate with the Amiga OS.  After that, whatever
  24.   feature additions make sense for QED.

  26.   If you have never used QED before, please read the files in the
  27.   Documentation drawer.  As a minimum, read the Copyright and Introduction
  28.   files as they contain important information about QED and are brief.
  29.  
  30.   This demo version of QED is fully functional except for the limitation
  31.   of not being able to save files larger than 10K in size.

  35.   This release of QED is going out for free to everyone who was previously
  36.   a registered user.  If you are a previously registered QED user, please
  37.   contact me via email or snailmail about getting updates.  Those with an
  38.   account on Genie already have access to updates but should contact me in
  39.   any case so that I can get my records up to date.

  51.   users.  Those who don't have access to GEnie can send me $5 to the
  52.   address above and I will mail you an update on disk.

  55.   point in the future, provide them for a fee depending on demand.
